Blossomed Beauty Hair How-To

March 23, 2016

Take traditional spring flowers and transform them into this season’s hottest hair accessory with our March #SalonStuntStyle, created by Newbury Street stylist Janessa Davis.

Start with picking up your favorite blooms from your florist – we chose gerbera daisies in several colors for a vibrant and ladylike feel. Next, curl hair with a one inch curling iron and whimsically pin hair into your favorite updo, while leaving out a one inch section in the front. Keep in mind, the updo is supposed to look effortless and tousled, so no need to focus on pinning the hair perfectly.  Finish with a light coat of hairspray for extra hold.

Now for the fun part: gently tuck the individual flowers so they cascade down one side of the head and secure with bobby pins that match your hair color. For a playful touch, pepper in some smaller blossoms to the updo portion of the hair.

With Boston finally abloom, don’t be scared to sport spring’s most coveted creation everywhere, from the city streets to a black tie event.
