Celeb Cuts We Love!

June 26, 2015

Celebrities are always inspiring us to take our hair to new lengths –and in this case, much shorter lengths! Recently, we’ve had some serious hair envy for Emilia Clarke’s new lob, Jenna Dewan Tatum’s textured tresses and Kate Mara’s fierce pixie!

We asked fabulous SalonCapri senior stylist Cameron Ryan for the lowdown on these chops and her take on these sexy styles.

Emilia Clarke

This blunt cut is great for clients with fine hair that want to make it look a little bit fuller. Ask your stylist for a top of the shoulder lob with a slight graduation.  I’m loving this look because it is a classic shape that is still relevant for today. You can dress it up or down by opting for either a smooth or more textured finish. This timeless cut opens up the face without taking away from the style and it looks amazing with a side part – the deeper the part, the more dramatic the look!

Jenna Dewan Tatum

I’m always a fan of this textured chop! This cut is perfect for medium to thick hair. Because this cut is so texturized, it’s great for people looking for a beachy feel. Ask for a classic lob with graduation from back to front. I love it because it’s long enough to pull back or leave down for a perfect summery and effortless look. It’s great for clients that want an easy, boho style that is low maintenance and works on any face shape!

Kate Mara

I love this modern take on the classic pixie. If you want this look, ask for a longer shaggy pixie that is tapered at the neck and ears but longer on top to give it a feminine and flirty look. This cut is so versatile because you can blow it out smooth or opt for an edgier look by putting product through the top. I’d recommend this style for almost every hair type with the exception of very tight curls. I’m loving the versatility of this look – you could go for a smooth and clean aesthetic or for textured and flirty styling!
