Denise (Wolffs) Leyhe has been a client at SalonCapri at Legacy Place since the salon first opened six years ago. Originally from New York and now living in Boston, Denise is Head of Sponsorships and Giving at Citizens Bank, where she oversees marketing programs and partnerships focused on supporting non-profit organizations that help fight hunger, provide shelter and teach money management skills.
What are your favorite things about SalonCapri?
Definitely the talented staff, followed by the atmosphere, and those relaxing chairs by the sink.
What do you love about your stylist, Jamie Champagne?
She is talented, fun and stylish. She’s also a great person who has great passion for what she does. She always puts a smile on my face, especially when she shows me pictures of her son, Lucien (sorry, Sam and Bella).
What products do you like to use at home from SalonCapri?
I love Kérastase products. Jamie uses them at the salon when I go there weekly for all of my blowdrys!
How has SalonCapri improved your hair?
They’ve successfully transformed my previous short cut into a beautiful bob (took a year to grow!) and keep my hair shiny with regular gloss treatments and their hair product recommendations.

Where are your favorite places to shop and eat in Legacy Place?
I’m a fan of many of the restaurants, however, I call Aquitaine Dedham my “second kitchen” – the kale salad, salmon, oysters – yum! Not to mention, my favorite server (and friend) Cynthia always takes great care of me!
How do you juggle being a successful executive and staying stylish?
I don’t consider it juggling. Having SalonCapri and Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio right here where I work makes it very convenient. In addition to getting my hair done, I’m a big fan of the aesthetic services at SalonCapri performed by Diane and Santina!
Favorite tips for staying organized?
Make lists every morning and document accomplishments. Decide what clothes you are wearing and take them out of the closet the night before.
Best piece of career advice that you would give to someone else?
Don’t be afraid to take on new challenges. The most important asset to have in every opportunity you come across is strong interpersonal skills. Always smile.
What is your beauty and health routine?
Starts with an AM workout, shower, dress, makeup. My go-to work out is the treadmill, followed by a steam (if possible). I also try and work in meditation as often as I can.
What is a beauty lesson or tip you’ve learned to be true?
Never leave home without mascara and lipstick/gloss. Tom Ford’s Matte Pussycat Lipstick is my go-to, day or night!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Travel, travel, travel. Shop, visit the spa, eat good food, work out and spend time with family and friends.
Any travel tips or personal travel routines?
I roll my clothes and always travel with carry-on luggage. I love my Briggs and Reilly pieces. I take lots of Purell (in less than 3.4oz) bottles with me when I travel. I also have TSA pre-check and Global Entry to make traveling easier!
Since you love to travel, any recommendations on the best places to go?
Every time I travel I try to shop and eat where the locals do and experience the “real culture.” I am a Starwood Lifetime Platinum Member and stay in their hotels whenever possible! London and New York are my favorite cities, and Turks and Caicos and Punta Mita are among my favorite resort destinations.
Why would you recommend SalonCapri to a friend?
I have recommended many of my colleagues and friends to the salon all for the same reasons – talented staff, top/latest education and training, good atmosphere, attentive team AND a great finished product, whether it’s an eyebrow wax or a cut and color.
What is a local charity that you support?
I am on the board of Dress for Success Boston and am very active in the organization. Check out the hashtag #DFSBoston.
