Meet The Stylist: Bethann Sheridan

May 27, 2014

Introduce yourself!

My name is Bethann Sheridan and I’m from Roslindale, MA. I am a senior stylist at SalonCapri’s Newton Highlands location.

How many years have you been a part of the SalonCapri team?

I have been with SalonCapri for 14 incredible years!

Where did you study previously?

I studied at Blaine in Kenmore Square. I have also been fortunate enough to travel to the L’Oréal Soho Academy in NYC where I received training from some of the top stylists in the U.S.

What techniques do you specialize in?

I am passionate about every element of this industry. I have enjoyed mastering latest techniques like balayage and ombre. Being a red head myself, I understand how difficult it is to maintain the vibrancy and richness of red color and feel I have mastered the technique necessary to compliment red hair!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I’ve always had a creative side and interest in making people feel beautiful.

Which favorite hair care product has been in constant rotation for you behind the chair?

I love Kérastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp and Hair Concentrate. I believe it makes all types of hair more youthful, shiny and vibrant. It also restores dull, over-processed hair. The entire Kérastase Thermique line is also amazing – it protects the hair from hot styling tools and gives it a shiny, healthy appearance.

Which celeb haircut and/or color are you loving right now and why?

I love how Michelle William’s hair color compliments her cut. Emma Stone is also one of my favorites! I think her red hair flatters her delicate features.

What are you favorite hair colors or style trends right now?

I LOVE how the 70’s are making their way back! I’m obsessed with all the fashions and hairstyles from the movie American Hustle.

What advice would you give a client who wants to try something new or different with their hair?

Don’t be afraid! Change is good but be sure to bring pictures and have ideas when you come in for an appointment.  As they say “a picture paints a thousand words” and ensures you and your stylist are both on the same page.
