Nick’s Summer Playlist

July 31, 2015

Music is my inspiration. Wherever I go, I take a special song along with me. So with summer excursions at an all-time high right now, it’s the perfect time to share my personal playlist!

My taste in music is as eclectic as my taste in fashion. Everything from jam bands, to hip-hop, to the songs from the 80′s make up the soundtrack to my life! That being said, I’d like to start with my roots. It’s no secret that before I started shopping at Barney’s, you could find me wearing hemp necklaces and Birkenstocks. My first song selection for my summer playlist goes out to my favorite band, followed by all of the other songs I’m enjoying right now.

The Grateful Dead, Althea. From the live album Without a Net, this is one of my favorite Dead songs and my all-time favorite version.

Van Morrison, Into the Mystic. This song is perfect for when the sun is going down at a backyard BBQ….nothing better.

The Allman Brothers, Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More. Road trip anyone!?

The Cure, Just Like Heaven. Put the top down to this 80′s classic and cruise to the beach.

Dave Matthews, Grace is Gone. I spent a weekend in Vermont in July and this song came on one morning while fog was rolling off the hills…it was perfect!

Phish, Suzy Greenberg. This is for my son, Trey (named after the front man from this band). We put on this song and dance our asses off!

The Wood Brothers, Sing About It and Honey Jar. Two songs from this band because I’m loving them right now!

Gary Clark Jr, Catfish Blues. This dude is my man crush!

Milky Chance, Sweet Sun. Love grooving to this tune…I recently saw them at the House of Blues.

T-Pain, Can’t Believe It. “I’m gonna put you in a beach house, on the edge of Costa Rica!” Come on, that’s poetry right there.

Sexual Healing, Kygo Remix. Can you say roof top pool party!?

I’ve put together my playlist, below, so you can listen to my favorite summer jams all in one place.
